neoVI Explorer - neoVI
Main
Overview
The neoVI explorer lets you setup the neoVI device (figure 1). The neoVI explorer lets you connect to the device and update its settings. The neoVI device settings are stored in the neoVI device in its onboard (non-volatile) storage. neoVI Explorer also lets you update the neoVI's firmware.
Connecting to a neoVI
You can select the neoVI you want to connect to by selecting it in the neoVI device list and pressing the connect button (figure 1 : bubble 2). You can select a neoVI on either USB or RS232 in this list. Note that USB1 will be the first neoVI connected to the PC.
When you connect to the neoVI the neoVI LED will flash between green and red. Also, the connect button will turn green.
Changing Settings
After connecting to the neoVI, you can change settings by selecting areas on the device settings tree (figure 1 : bubble 3) and manipulating the settings on the left (figure 1 : bubble 4).
When you are done adjusting your settings, you can send them to the neoVI by selecting "Send Current Settings to the neoVI" from the File Menu (Figure 1 : Bubble 1). The "Send Current Settings to the neoVI" selection will only be enabled if the actual settings in the neoVI are different then those you have selected.
Making the Settings the Default for the PC
You can make the settings the default for the PC by selecting "Make Settings Default for the PC". This will make the settings you have selected the default settings for the neoVI explorer on this machine.
When you are done with the neoVI explorer you can close the dialog by pressing ok (figure 1 : bubble 6).
